Azeroth as we knew it is over. The Barrens are split in two, and Thousand Needles is under water. I hope you got your last good look at the worlds of Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor yesterday — they’re going to be entirely different when we can next go on an adventure.
When I log in tonight, I will be faced with a race change. I will be returning to the ranks of the Alliance. I’m still undecided if I want to return to Draenei or temporarily be a Human hunter — I’ll decide that later.
While playing in the beta, it didn’t seem real, it didn’t seem like everything as I knew it was over — because I could just log back over into the live realms and see everything as they have been. Today it becomes real, when everything changes – there’s no going back.
I adventured in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor quite extensively, it was home. I adventured in Outland and took on Illidan who was just angry his horns were backwards, Archimonde and saving the World Tree — just so I can do it again after December 7th, and helped Kil’Jaden out of the bathtub. I took on all the big faces of Northrend. Malygos, Halion, and Sartharion have fallen, Arthas is being taken home to Stormwind in a body bag. Bolivar has taken over as Lich King to save us all from the Scourge.
The cities and towns have been ravaged by elementals for weeks. The Twilight cultists have caused panic in the capitals. Enough is enough. This must come to an end. Deathwing may have changed everything forever, but he’s going to get it right back.
