Over the River and Through the Woods

To grandma’s house we go?

I think I’m nearly out of the work cave of stress I’ve been in for the last few months, so hopefully I can get back to writing more.  My attention just has been needed elsewhere, and I haven’t been able to keep up with writing.  Something had to give, and unfortunately it was this blog.

I’ve still been raiding, and Conquest is currently 4/8 Heroic Dragon Soul, 25-man.  We’re currently working on heroic Zon’ozz.  I’ll admit, I’m in the pre-expansion-bored-with-current-content funk.

So, in an interest of keeping things interesting, let’s talk about what content you’d like to see up until MoP comes out.  By now, I’m sure most of you have already gone through Dragon Soul, at least on Raid Finder.  Part of me feels like running through the remainder of strategy might be a waste.  You tell me!  What do you want to see until MoP comes out?

What do you want to see while we're waiting for MoP?

  • Finish your Dragon Soul strategies! (46%, 11 Votes)
  • Share your UI (and maybe make it downloadable) (42%, 10 Votes)
  • MoP Information ALL THE THINGS! (38%, 9 Votes)
  • Update your Power Auras! (29%, 7 Votes)
  • Spotlight on Pet Battles (once they're implemented) (13%, 3 Votes)

Total Voters: 24

Now, this by no means is a comprehensive list of things I’m willing to cover.  If you have some brilliant idea you want to see me talk about, drop it in the comments.

Hopefully this means I’ll be able to get back to blogging more regularly.  I miss you guys!

  1. Mory, I think finishing your strats is a good thing…just for the sake of being a completionist. You can even lump them into one simple strat block…All things DragonSoul.
This being said, more hunter info on your UI, rotation, and add-ons would be beneficial. The only issue there is so much will change for MoP.
I know for myself in regards to MoP, there is so much out there already I didn’t think I needed to add fuel to the fire. I’ve used my Beta time to just plan out my leveling strategy and weigh my desire to roll a panda. My guild (Phalanx of Nod – Dalaran) is planning on making DS a single night, then having a guild Diablo3 night, and the third raid night be dedicated to earlier tier achievements.
    my 2c fwiw.

    •  @quori That’s really what is preventing me from actively working on those strategies.  It won’t matter so much once MoP comes out, and as they keep increasing the nerf percentage, even the heroic bosses are falling faster.  I will likely work to complete the regular strategies for DS, and do mini-articles with the differences for heroics versus the regular versions.  I agree being complete is worth it.
I do think that getting into beta experience once Blizzard opens up the add-ons, it’ll certainly be worth it.  Also, once level 90 is available, I have every intention of running combat logs on multiple specs to try and get the optimal.  My intention in that case is to focus on what’s coming, instead of what we already have.
      Thanks for the feedback!

      •  @morynne I got lazy with mine :P I think I have like… 8 drafts and only 2 done? lolI do love reading yours, but I voted for UI and pet battles (since there isnt in-depth coverage on that yet). Your UI will make a fine addition to Lae’s collected pics :)

  2. I would scrap the strategies, there are plenty of them out there already by now. My votes went to Power Auras and UI’s. :)

    •  Laeleiweyn That’s what I’m thinking too… it’ll be even better once beta opens up UI mods.

    • @Laeleiweyn Agreed. I voted for the same. But while I concur there are plenty of Strat guides out there…Mory’s are particularly good, especially since they are Hunter focused. Additionally I admit my personal level of OCD couldn’t leave them only partially done for the instance. :D
